Zvarder Trio is a dynamic piano trio featuring violinist Savva Zverev, cellist Aristide du Plessis, and pianist Sid Ramchander. Comprising accomplished musicians with prominent orchestral and chamber experience, the ensemble delivers passionate interpretations of core Romantic and Classical repertoire, including major works by Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, and Brahms in recent performances.
Their upcoming appearance at the Assembly House Classical series marks a Norwich debut for the group.
Savva Zverev (violin) First violinist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. A versatile soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral leader, he previously held a principal second violin role with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and performed with major UK ensembles including the London Symphony Orchestra, Hallé, and Royal Opera House Orchestra. Born in St. Petersburg, he trained at the Royal Northern College of Music on full scholarship.
Aristide du Plessis (cello) UK-based South African cellist renowned for passionate performances. He freelances with top orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic, Bournemouth Symphony, and BBC National Orchestra of Wales, often as Guest Principal. A prizewinner in international competitions, he has performed in venues like Wigmore Hall, Vienna Musikverein, and Berlin Philharmonie, and previously served as Principal Cellist of the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra.
Sid Ramchander (piano) Versatile UK-based pianist born in India and raised in Bahrain. He performs in solo recitals, concertos, chamber music, and art-song accompaniment across the UK, Europe, and Middle East. A Samling Artist since 2021 and skilled collaborator, he directs the Virtuoso Project piano academy in Manchester and holds advanced diplomas from the Royal Northern College of Music.
